FortnightlyVolunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain practical habitat management skills, spend time outdoors and discover the wildlife in your local green space.
Volunteers are given the opportunity to get involved in a variety of practical conservation tasks and ecological surveys to conserve the reserve for wildlife and people.
If you would like to join us for a volunteer day at Deer's Leap Wood, please contact volunteeringteam@bbcwildlife.org.uk before attending your first session so that we have enough tools and equipment for everyone.
All tools and equipment are provided but you will need to bring some lunch. No prior experience of conservation volunteering is required as training will be given by our staff.
We advise volunteers to wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear including walking boots, wellington boots or ideally steel-toe capped boots.
Please note there are no toilets on site.
Whether you're a nature novice or an ecology expert, everyone is welcome to get involved and we look forward to meeting you!
