Connecting Young People to Nature

We want to enable every child from Birmingham and the Black Country to grow up with a love of nature, to inspire them to develop lifelong relationships with our urban wild places and to foster their ability to care for and protect the wildlife on our doorsteps and in the wider world.

We know that connecting children to nature and nurturing deeper relationships with the natural world has many benefits, including better physical health, wellbeing and improved academic achievement. With a deepening climate crisis it is more important than ever that children make meaningful connections with the natural world through sensory and exploratory experiences to ensure the future of the planet.
