What stories can a mushroom leave behind?

Mushrooms are constantly leaving traces of themselves - microscopic spores released from beneath their caps, ready to travel wherever wind, water or another creature might carry them.

In this workshop, we'll slow down and look closely at these often-invisible traces, using mushrooms as both material and inspiration. You'll experiment with mushroom-based ink and mark-making, discovering the colours, textures and marks that fungi can create, before making your own mushroom spore prints - beautiful botanical impressions that reveal the unique patterns hidden beneath each mushroom cap.

We'll explore the surprising intersection of fungal ecology and creative practice, learning a little about how mushrooms reproduce while creating something you can take home.

• Drop-in workshop, arrive any time from 12.00 - 13.30
• No previous art or fungi experience is needed.
• All ages welcome, children must be accompanied please.
