Fens, Flowers and Fantasy: A Guided Walk of Moseley Bog (Free for Members)
About the event
Come and discover the magic of Moseley Bog!
Our Conservation Manager, Jake, will lead you on a tour of this beautiful nature reserve, which is a haven for wildlife and a stunning retreat for all those who visit.
Join us to learn all about the wildlife which thrives here, from the plants on the woodland floor to the trees which create a canopy above. You'll learn about wetlands, meadows and the other habitats which exist here, as well as the folklore which surrounds them and the fantasy which was born here.
Did you know that Moseley Bog was the playground of a young J.R.R. Tolkien? Or that its trees became part of the vibrant landscape in his stories of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit? Come and find your own inspiration within its green walls!
The walk will last from 11.00-12.30 and we'll be meeting at the car park of the main entrance, off Yardley Wood Road.
The walk is part of our ongoing programme of members’ events and it’s free for our members. Find out more about our memberships and how to join in our website: https://www.bbcwildlife.org.uk/JoinUs
The event is also open to non-members for a small fee. If you are not yet a member, please select this option when getting your tickets.
