Join Conservation Officers Jack and David for a wildlife spotting walk with a focus on identifying trees in winter.
About the event
This walk on Pelsall Common will be a chance to discover some of winter's wonderful wildlife! In particular, we'll learn all about trees, including how to identify them and the important roles they play within our natural world. Participants will learn how to recognise different tree species by examining features such as bark and buds - skills that are especially useful when leaves are absent. The walk may also include a visit to Turner’s Wood, a Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust nature reserve that is normally closed to the public.
Key information:
- Meeting Point: Outside Turner's Wood, on Commonside, WS3 4QL. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Kkkov2tQepTKrcZh7
