Politicians in the UK have made many big promises for nature, but the Westminster Government's own advisors agree: they're not doing enough to improve the natural world.

That’s why, ahead of the next General Election, over 70 environmental charities have joined forces to create a five-point plan for decision-makers. We want to see this reflected in all Party manifestos, to put a stop to nature’s decline.

Championing Nature is a new programme aimed at creating positive, lasting impact in urban communities through greater connections and engagement with nature.

Nature Tots is a Wildlife Trust programme for preschool age children, providing a wonderful opportunity for little ones to enjoy and learn from nature. 

Over recent days, the UK Government has launched an attack on nature, weakening the laws that protect our wildlife and making a U-turn on manifesto promises to be the greenest Government ever: reversing reforms to farming and making energy decisions that will worsen climate change.

Our Youth Action for Nature Project empowers young people in the region to build a strong relationship with the natural spaces around them, and in turn, to take action to protect those spaces and nature as a whole.

Restore Nature Now aims to be the biggest ever UK gathering for nature and climate. On Saturday 22nd June 2024, anyone who cares about a healthy environment can join this legal, peaceful and inclusive demonstration that is being organised by a wide range of nature, wildlife, environment and climate organisations and individuals. Together, we will call on ALL political parties to restore nature NOW, and make the upcoming General Election the turning point for nature that is so desperately needed.

We own and look after nature reserves using evidence based methods to increase biodiversity and create wildlife havens.

Wildlife is in trouble - globally animal populations are roughly half the size they were 40 years ago*, 56% of all UK species are in decline** and precious habitats such as wildflower meadows have been nearly wiped out, with only 3% remaining of those we had in the 1930s***
