About the event

Help us to record the wildlife of Highbury Park through a leisurely walk around the site. This will be part of Birmingham & Black Country's entry in a global competition to see which city is the wildest!

The City Nature Challenge is a competition between cities all over the world to see how many wild species their citizens can spot over the space of four days in April.

The City Nature Challenge began in 2016 as a competition between San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles County - by 2018 the CNC had gone international!

In 2020 there are 9 other UK city regions taking part.

Birmingham and the Black Country is taking part for the first time. Birmingham & the Black Country's 2020 City Nature Challenge entry is led by EcoRecord, Birmingham Museums & The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country
