Wild Festive Fun Days

Families are being encouraged to get closer to nature this Christmas by The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.

They are being invited to Wild Festive Fun Days at EcoPark, Small Heath, on Monday 19th December and Tuesday 20th December. These free activities are being held thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Visitors will be encouraged to look after our feathered friends this winter by making their own apple bird feeders. They will also be shown how to decorate their homes with natural decorations by making heart-shaped willow wreaths.

Guy Belding, Education Officer for the Trust, says: “This will be a great opportunity to have some fun with your family and escape the Christmas crowds. When you have made your festive crafts take some time to explore EcoPark because it is a wonderful haven for wildlife.”

Families can drop into our Wild Festive Fun Days at any time from 10am to 3pm. Children of all ages are welcome, but they must always be accompanied by an adult.

These fun days are the latest in a series of free family activities supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. More than 200 families have come along to enjoy the fun so far this year, and we look forward to welcoming many more during the Christmas holidays!
