Wild in the Woods

Tuesday 18th October 2016

Families at being invited to take part in a Wild in the Woods Family Fun Day by The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.

This free activity will be held at Peascroft Wood Nature Reserve, Bilston, on Wednesday 26th October, from 11am to 1pm. This is the latest in a series of events supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Alison Wilkes, Reserve Officer for Peascroft Wood, says: “We’ve got lots of exciting activities planned to show families just how much fun they can have exploring their local woodland.

“They will have a chance to plant tree seeds, make mud art, go on minibeast hunts and build their own dens. Peascroft Wood is the perfect place for an autumn adventure!”

We have received a grant of £75,000 over three years from the Heritage Lottery Fund to support our work at Peascroft Wood. This has also allowed us to run conservation volunteer days, give guided walks and install new interpretation panels for visitors.
