Half-term fun for Halloween

Tuesday 18th October 2016

Families are being invited to join in Wild Spooky Fun Days being run by The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.

These free activities will be held at the EcoPark over the half-term holiday, thanks to support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The EcoPark is a hidden gem. Tucked away in the busy city suburb of Small Heath, it offers a wonderful haven for wildlife and people who want to enjoy nature.

Guy Belding, Education Officer for the Trust, says: “We’ll be having lots of fun to celebrate Halloween here over the half-term holidays. We’ll be making skeletons out of twigs and horrible creatures with clay to transform the EcoPark into a ‘frightful’ place to visit!”

The Wild Spooky Fun Days will be held on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th October. Each of these drop-in sessions will run from 10am to 3pm. Children of all ages are welcome, but they must always be accompanied by an adult.

The Trust has been able to run a series of free family activities this year with support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. More than 200 families have come along to enjoy the fun so far, and we look forward to welcoming many more over the half-term holidays!
