Volunteer day on the Rowley Hills
What will I do as a volunteer?
Volunteers are given the opportunity to get involved in practical conservation tasks and ecological surveys to help us conserve the reserve for wildlife and people.
What are the benefits of volunteering?
No prior experience in conservation volunteering is required as training will be given by our staff.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain practical habitat management skills, spend time outdoors and discover the wildlife in your local greenspace.
What will I need to bring?
All tools and equipment are provided as well as refreshments but you will need to bring some lunch.
We advise volunteers to wear outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather and sturdy footwear including walking boots, wellington boots or ideally steel toe capped boots.
Please note there are no toilets on site.
How do I start volunteering?
If you would like to attend a volunteer day at the Rowley Hills please contact Tom TomH@bbcwildlife.org.uk prior to the volunteer day to register your interest in volunteering. This will allow the group leader to bring enough tools and equipment for the group.
