Our outdoor classroom training will cover risk assessments, session ideas, delivery methods and more, all counting towards your own CDP.Perfect for an inset day, not only is our training a great development and team building experience but it gives participants the base knowledge and follow up resources they need to make the most of working in nature.

The Benefits of Learning in Natural Spaces

saved from development following a huge public campaign, the site became a nature reserve and supports a tremendous range of plants, animals and insects. Especially fascinating are the gnarled old trees and the fantastic displays of bluebells each spring.
Moseley Bog was the childhood playground of The Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien, who lived nearby. He stated that the site inspired the 'old forest' in his books. People come from all over the world to discover his inspiration for themselves.
The site also has great archaeological interest, having two burnt mounds, as well as more recent remains such as the old mill dam and the foundations of Victorian greenhouses.

John Muir Discovery Award.

The John Muir Discovery Award is an environmental award scheme. It is non-competitive, inclusive and accessible based on; Discovering a wild space, Exploring it, working to Conserve it and Sharing their experience with others.

Whilst it is designed for people of all ages, in our experience we have found it especially benefits disengaged students by building confidence, self esteem and social skills.

Rising transport costs are becoming a barrier to taking school trips. Let us bring nature to you! We are committed to bring nature and outdoor learning to children in some of the most nature depleted wards in our region.

Each year thousands of young people are inspired by the wildlife they encounter on their visits there. EcoPark offers opportunities for children in this inner city area to get hands on with nature and discover the wonders of the natural world for the first time. Six local primary schools make regular use of EcoPark, with many more also visiting for one-off sessions, and there are also free activities for families every school holiday funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
